Stroud College

Stroud College had an existing site, but unfortunately their old web company was unable to keep it running, and the original development had been done in a way that introduced a number of problems to their workflow. Our task was to turn the site around, making sure everything worked the way it was originally supposed to, and take on the hosting and support.

On acquiring the site, we were required to make substantial changes to the underlying data structure of the site. For example, on the old site, courses were showing up in the main course list and in their subcategories at the same time. It was also impossible to use hyperlinks or images on the course category pages, and administering things like when course descriptions should expire automatically was a major headache.

The site had been developed without a proper knowledge of Drupal, which meant that several crucial problems had been approached in the wrong way. Our focus is on Drupal, and it's the vast majority of what we do in web development. Being experts gave us the ability to see through these basic errors and set them straight (although it didn't mean it was easy to achieve)!

Hosting and support was no problem for us, of course. Like our other clients, Stroud College can have as much free support from us as they like, on the phone or by email, at no extra cost, since outstanding support is something that sets us apart.

Stroud College now have a much more exciting, engaging website that their users will find far easier to use, and this, in turn, will help to promote the College's image, and boost their course attendances.
